one time
so short and yet so full
a vision filled my eyes
of a gentle world of green
and birds sang
of awakening and birth
as their nests, burgeoned with growing chicks,
burst into a land of hope and growth
and the sky fed all
with rain and sun and air
to fulfil the promise of all time
that life shall blossom on this earth
