returning now
a slow breath
and then scattered thoughts
brought together in a kind fold

the landscape of mind
so broad and wandering
a river pooling and rushing by turns
brings back the thoughts of beginning

so much has happened
and looking back,
parts of memory fade while others brighten
as grasping becomes useless

so accepting with a sigh
that being here again
is both the same and different
with miles behind and miles to go
