like a bud in spring
the uncurling of all that potential
the pushing through those barriers of protection
the true self can bring you into the light

the dark tunnels
where you have been lured to find the answer
and yet, and yet, and yet the answer is here
curled up in your fist so tight

like that bud
all that is needed is within you
so listen and look for the one who would lead you out
that self that was always here

the helper, the leader
that kernel of the truth of who you really are
allow, allow, allow that one to shed the light of love
